OMG! I LOVE the iPhone 3G! it is so awesome! right now i have the samsung gravity and my mom and i agree that we want to move to AT&T and probably get the iPhone! im sooooooo excited! but it's not til november or early december...i think that the iphone has alot of good ideas, their are alot of very good apps and the safari is fast and it goes on every website that u can go on with a computer! overall, people are right, the iPhone is the best phone EVER!!!!!!!!

Hey is it true that an unlocked/jailbroken iphone can not work in 3g cause I just got mine from ebay paid alot of money for it just cause I don't wanna upgrade with att (hate att been with them for 8 years about time to move on) and was gonna switch to t-mobile in a month when my att contract expires. To find out today that the 3g doesn't work with the unblocked /jailbroken phones which I hate. That's why I've got the 3g iphone to use it in 3g. I'm pretty upset about it and the seller did not mention this to me at all. Please reply

I'm getting one tomorrow- can't wait! I waited as long as I could for announcements about a 3rd gen, but I just can't go on. Of course, after I buy this one, it's a lock that they will announce the new version...Oh, well.

I had the HTC Touch Diamond for Sprint and I sold it. Left Sprint, and bought the Iphone 3g for AT&T. Compared to a lot of phones the touch diamond is superior but, it has some major defects so to speak that i couldn't live with. Comparing it to the Iphone it was lagging in performance. Everything you do with it is substantially slower than the iphone. The iphone is just user friendly plain and simple. If you need the Windows Mobile 6.1 than you will need the Diamond but, the iphone is the way to go for over all ease of use. And it scores higher in the camera department also. The camera and the features of it do not compare to the iphone. Also, the iphone has aps like the "cycorder" that you can turn the Iphone into a video camera also. Much easier tech support from Apple than Sprint. AT&T as a whole line associated with support going straight to Apple if there are any problems. The Iphone is also going to be easier to find accessories. they are everywhere unlike the Touch Diamond. Anything else you'd like to know just let me know. I have the Iphone and I can get back to you quick.

Pros: great speed upgrade from earlier versions of the iPhone. better graphics plus widescreen qwerty board. with the mms it is great also. the call quality is amazing. the smudge proof coating also helps a littleCons: not to different from from iPhone 3g. still breaks pretty easy. battery life didnt really improve that much for me.Summary: Overall i love this phone. it works great for me, it has amazing internet and email access with a ton of great apps so you always have something to do on you phone. it has amazing call quality. phone does break easily if you drop it a couple times but its still very good because i havent dropped it yet. my suggestion to people looking for a new phone is get this phone, theres not a better one than it on the market

Pros: "S" for speed in the name, certainly hold true!
Camera + Autofocus + Video Recording (Better than Jailbroken Video Recorders in my opinion)
Compass might be of some very good GPS and navigation use.Cons: No multitasking

No Flash for web browsing Summary: I was always on the fence on whether to upgrade or not. So I waited, after hearing the never ending praise for the device, I decided to go ahead and get it.
First impressions:
The Screen is certainly a LESS of a fingerprint-magnet than it's predecessor. It isn't fingerprint-resistant.
Camera is somewhat better quality and the finger touch autofocus feature is very helpful. The ability to trim videos is a cool little feature. A flash would have made it perfect.
Speed: It is considerably faster than both the V1 and the 3G, a direct result of the increased RAM and the faster processor.
Web: Safari usually loads pages faster than before due to the new Java Nitro (i think!)
Find my iPhone: It sucks that you have to pay for it, but worthwhile none the less.
Was the $200 upgrade worthwhile? ... Ummm... Certainly a better phone but not worth the $200 or the inability to upgrade to the next one as soon as it comes out.
Here's to the hoping that the iPhone 2010 is a step ahead like the 3G was and not a mere RAM upgrade!
