You Pay for their Mistakes

Overall Rating:
1.7 out of 5
By: Ross Schultz on Thursday, December 13, 2007
From: Port Charlotte, FL (United States)
Experience: 2 Years
Pros: Fair pricing for unlimited services.

Cons: Poor customer service.

Summary: Customer serivce rep's including supervisors can't see beyond company policy scripts and are inflexable. Unwilling to fix their own mistakes, right a wrong and keep customer happy. When I pay for service, I expect to get every minute of said service.

Mediocre - needs improvent

Overall Rating:
1 out of 5
By: John Smith on Wednesday, October 24, 2007
From: Atlanta, GA (United States)
Experience: 20 Days
Pros: Cheap,no contract, unlimited service

Cons: Weak signal , poor customer service

Summary: The signal is weak in many places within the designated coverage area . They sold me a "new" phone that actually had been used (maybe a return) . If they really want to expand their market to the traditonal wireless customer who has other options, then they should follow through with what they advertise and have good customer service .

CAN'T BEAT THE VALUE -- (Who cares about the customer service?)

Overall Rating:
3.7 out of 5
By: J J on Sunday, September 16, 2007
From: Miami, FL (United States)
Experience: 4 Years
Pros: Flat rate of $45 or $50 (depending on your market) for UNLIMITED: UNL. Internet browsing, UNL. Email access (phone must have proper email app installed), UNL. Nationwide Long Distance, UNL. Picture messaging, UNL. Text messaging.

Cons: Lousy Customer service, but who cares?! - You only need to call them once or twice to get hooked up or for to switch to another phone. I see other reviewers whining about the customer service, but so what.... I can go down to ANY store or business and find an abundance of ignorance!
What really matters is the quality of the cellular calls. You find me another carrier that can offer UNLIMITED EVERYTHING like Metro does for only $50 a month, and I will eat my shorts!

Summary: Forget about the service reps and ENJOY the freedom of unlimited service. As long as you use a cell phone primarily within the metro coverage areas, you just can't beat the service (as in performance, NOT customer service).

Their coverage is slowly expanding. It won't be long before the 2 big US carriers feel the pressure!

Experience: 2 Years
Pros: Great service in service area.

Cons: Horrible customer service. Spanish is the worst.

Summary: Customer service in person is terrible. I had to travel to another town to get customer satisfaction with my phone. I tried working with telephone customer service, and do not recommend it.

Love the service, Don't love the coverage

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Joy Gill on Wednesday, July 04, 2007
From: Newport, MI (United States)
Experience: 3 Years
Pros: THe service is great!! I have NEVER had a dropped call in 3 years.

Cons: Even in my own town there are places that are not in the service coverage for Metro PCS.

Summary: I will stay with Metro PCS because I do not travel out of town normally. For anyone who travels any distance at all, like my hubby, would have to have a larger network for coverage.

Worst customer service ever

Overall Rating:
1 out of 5
By: Ken Hinkle on Wednesday, June 20, 2007
From: fort worth, TX (United States)
Experience: 1 Days
Pros: none

Summary: I purchased a phone online for my girlfriend. It arrived in good time. The instructions on the shipping receipt where to dial *228 from the phone to activate. That did not work! I called customer service 1(877) add metro. After waiting on hold for 6 minutes they gave me another number to call 8888638768. I called that number and was told I couldn't activate the phone unless I was the perchance. I explained I was the one who purchased the phone and it was for my girlfriend. They told me they couldn’t do anything. Then they hung up. After being feed up with the already bad service I decided to quit while I was ahead and send the phone back. I called the same number to get an RMA. They had no clue what an RMA was.

So far, so good

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Nicole Collie on Wednesday, April 25, 2007
From: Orlando, FL (United States)
Experience: 3 Weeks
Pros: Affordable monthly plans

Cons: Replacing a phone can be pricey if you do not have insurance.

Summary: I was skeptical about purchasing Metro PCS because of mixed reviews I read, but I like the idea of unlimited minutes. I just purchased a couple of weeks ago and so far I LOVE it. I get better reception in my apartment than the carrier I just left. Luckily, the only place out of town that I go has Metro PCS as well, so I haven’t had any problems with no service as of yet. I have had to call customer service 2 times so far and have had NO problems getting through to a live person. They were very friendly and answered all of my questions with no problems. I also have to say, this is much cheaper and better than a pre-paid plan with very little minutes. I have a teen-age daughter that will be receiving a Metro PCS phone for her b-day and I like knowing that I don’t have to worry about her running up minutes and breaking MY pockets...lol.
