Metro is #1

Overall Rating:
4.7 out of 5

Pros: Metro pcs allows me to have a peace of mind when it comes to communicating. I don't have to worry about going over my minutes and paying overages at the end of the month. Some people tell me that they won't join metro because they drop too many calls. First of all, i don't get droppped calls as often as people may think. I make about 40 - 60 calls a day and I can safely say that only 2 or 3 of those calls may get droppped. I am all over sacramento and I get good reception anywhere

Cons: The only downside I think, is that they don't get good reception inside big buildings.

Summary: I can confidently recommend metropcs to anybody. I often get complaints from my friends about their bill fluctuating every month and I tell them that i don't have that problem at all. I love my phone company.

Cons: Not alot of phones you have to pay a fee to pay your bill

Summary: I have had other providers and the best one yet is metro. They are very nice and willing to help on any problems imaginable. The accessories are 6.99 and lots to choose from.

MetroPCS Coverage

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5

From: fremont, CA (United States)
Experience: 3 Years
Pros: I always get prompt assistance from someone who most always seems to enjoy their job.

Cons: Since they have expanded the area around Alameda the reception in some areas is not as good as it use to be and in some areas of Hayward you can not get calls or they are dropped on a regular basis.

Summary: All and all I must say for the price of the service and phone and monthly charge to talk to anyone I want anywhere I want, for the most part, the service is great. I would recommend it especially for those who can not afford the 2 year contracts most carriers charge you for.

Metro is simply the best

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5

From: Coconut Creek, FL (United States)

Pros: Great signal, haven't had any dropped calls, great value, free texting & picture messaging

Cons: travel talk is very expensive, phones are expensive

Summary: I had Sprint PCS for the last three years up until now. I switched over to Metro PCS and I couldn't be happier! Seriously - free everything (text messaging, unlimited incoming & outgoing calls: local and long distance, picture messaging, internet) all for 45 bucks, 55 bucks including all taxes and fees! What could be better! I currently use a Samsung A850 and it works very nicely, activation was very easy, and there is no cancelation fee! I was glad I made the switch, and I think you would be very pleased too.

Pros: it has one set rate per month, with many different packages

Cons: you have to live in certain areas to get service, sometimes it is hard to hear the person you are talking to.

Summary: MetroPCS offers a way for you to control your monthly cell phone bill. You know what your bill will be and exactly when it is due, with several options on receiving your bill. They also have several packages available. Also, you must live in certain areas to get the service. Overall I would recommend trying metropcs.

Spotty Coverage in Dekalb

Overall Rating:
2 out of 5
By: Rebekah Strickland on Wednesday, August 16, 2006
From: Decatur, GA (United States)
Experience: 3 Years
Pros: Unlimited minutes inside the perimeter, 120 minutes free long distance monthly with basic plan.

Cons: Can't use the service much outside the perimeter - no farther south than Jonesboro and no farther east than Snellville. Not good for traveling.

Summary: I signed up for MetroPCS because it was unlimited and I rarely left the city. However, recently I moved to another location inside the coverage area, and suddenly I can't get my calls. I have a Cingular prepaid phone as well that has no problems in Decatur, but my Metro phone often drops calls and has a great deal of static/interference on most calls. Not a good choice if you're using a cell as your home phone, as I am.

Pros: Where else can you call unlimited all the time local and long distance for one low price. Its great for teenagers, my teenage son has the razor and loves it, especially the text messaging.

Cons: The phones are so expensive.

Summary: I am thankful for metro pcs after divorce and being a single parent. I feel safe with my metro service and it meets all my needs and the needs of my teenagers.
