The RAZR v3i is Motorola's update to the popular RAZR ultra-thin flip phone. The new version comes equipped with updated styling and adds a microSD memory card slot, iTunes music player, and speaker-independent voice control. The camera has also been upgraded to megapixel resolution and supports video capture. Other features include quad-band roaming, dual color displays, Bluetooth, and speakerphone.

The Motorola V3i has all the necessary features that were not included in the original V3 RAZR and is evidently a major upgrade. Although it is somewhat similar in appearance, it shows exceptional improvements demanded by the contemporary wireless world, an overall better camera, potential for expandable memory, and support for iTunes, just to name a few.

The faceplate also communicates improvement, as it is aluminum finished to give the phone a sleek design and new colors such as gold and purple are also introduced through this handset. Details of specific new features and design follow in assisting you as to the need for these extra features and if the transition from v3 to v3i would be beneficial for you and your wireless networks.

When talking about design in reference to looks, the V3i has a more metallic look than the original V3. Physical characteristics changed in the design of the new V3i as well. The support of the Trans flash (Micro SD) card is not like some other phones where you insert it from the outside. The V3i memory is placed under the back cover which is both good and bad depending on the user. If you remove your memory card a lot to place it in a card reader or for other reasons, it is a hassle removing the back plate every time.

Even though it can be a pain for some, at least you can remove the memory card without taking out the battery. With color choices becoming a major factor in new design, the V3i can be found in silver, maroon, deep violet, and designers Dolce & Gabbana gold.

Pros: Battery life on this phone is very efficient
Bluetooth compatibility is great as well.
Camera/videos are extremely clear
Big screen makes taking videos/pics very easy
64 MB microsd card is included with this phone (LOTS OF PICTURES/VIDEOS) (Adapter Included!!)
Cool Games (consume battery life after about 30 minutes with the games)
Digital Audio Player
Excellent Dolce & Gabbana Ringtones/Wallpapers
Came with a USB cable for data transfers.

Cons: May get scratched easily, I've had the phone for a little more than a year now and haven't dropped it yet so I wouldn't know.

May get stolen because this phone can catch anyone's eye

Voice Records can't be stored on the phone, only sent via message.

Camera still has the motorola setback (you click the wonderful picture and hit store, then you need to go four buttons down to actually store it)

Way too expensive: 350 dollars (but worth it)

Summary: On the whole, this is a very unique phone. The features may be similar to the regular RAZR, however the style/ringtones/clarity of use make this hot on the market. I would definitely recommend this phone

Its more comfortable to hold than normal RAZRs as well :-)

RAZR durability

Pros: used 1 heavily for 15 months with no problem for 13 of them

Cons: Batteries and recharging problems as soon as the warranty ran out.2nd RAZR was rarely touched but screen flickers constantly. Manf. wants $75 @ to repair.Too fragile

Summary: Too fragile for the price not a great value.

Cons: Its not cheap

Pros: Great Look
Solid Design

Not a ton of Multimedia uses

Summary: My wife recently got the RAZR phone and I couldn't help, but compare it to my A900M. I find the two phones very comparable since they both fit the trendy super thin design fad.

The RAZR has a great design and is fun to use, great sound quality and signal. Unfortunately for a phone which is echoing the previous RAZR phone, there isn't much improvement. There is more multimedia capabilities, but they don't seem to go as fast as my A900, but that could be because Sprint is faster.
