Pioneer #1

Overall Rating:
3.8 out of 5
By: Charles J. Spanbauer on Tuesday, August 25, 2009
From: Brevard, NC (United States)
Experience: 90 Days
Pros: A nearly Invisable transition from MCI with considerable financial savings.

Cons: A rather lenghty proceedure in setting up the LD carrier transfer with the local telephone company.

Summary: From an operational users point of view we have seen no differences in the quality of service from our previous LD provider. In verifying this switch over the local telephone did not identify the pioneer 3.3 service and later determined that Pioneer is a faduciary service provider and all appears to be A-OK!

Pioneer 3.3C service plan

Overall Rating:
4 out of 5
By: Paul Heuvelhorst on Tuesday, July 21, 2009
From: Lake Almanor, CA (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: Inexpensive phone calls; efficient on-line billing and payment

Cons: Slow to initiate service.

Summary: The service is "seamless" once set up. It took a full 10 business days to get it established. Our local phone company charged $7.50 for the changeover, and Pioneer offered no credit or rebate for that charge.

Pioneer's Pretty Much as Advertised

Overall Rating:
4.7 out of 5
By: Mick Guinn on Tuesday, July 21, 2009
From: Santa Barbara, CA (United States)
Experience: 90 Days
Pros: Great prices, Easy sign up, monthly billing, fairly easy access to customer service on the one occasion I needed them.

Cons: None significant, I only wish I didn't have to dial my area code for long distance calls within the area code. I doubt Pioneer has any control over that.

Summary: So far, so good. My monthly bill works out to be slightly less than what Cox Telephone was going to offer me. Cheaper is always better, but it seems a fair price for what Pioneer provides. Don't really hear a lot from them which is good. Who needs 2 emails a week from their long distance phone provider?! So I like the fact that they're not trying to sell my info or sell me more products. Until PhoneDog prompted me to write this review I hadn't thought much about them and I think that's a good thing. Like janitorial work, no news is good news. So I'm happy to write something good about Pioneer and have not really noticed anything bad. That's the way a great service should be. When it's great, you're just not even aware of it. It's just there. It works. And we can get about our business.

By: LINDSAY BIDDLE on Thursday, April 09, 2009
From: Okmulgee, OK (United States)
Experience: 60 Days
Pros: Great service. I used to get echoes and static with my prior company, however there is none of that with Pioneer.

Cons: None

Summary: I would recommend Pioneer long distance to anyone that plans on getting long distance on their land line phone. It's an excellent company and they excel leaps and bounds over any other long distance carrier I have ever had in the past.

Pioneer 3.3C Telephone Service

Overall Rating:
5 out of 5
By: Candy Roberds on Monday, February 23, 2009
From: Newcastle, WY (United States)
Experience: 3 Months
Pros: The cost is only 3.3cents a minute for direct dialed long distance and only 6cents a minute for an 800 number. I have found the service to be reliable.

Cons: I can not think of any at this time.

Summary: I would definitely recommend this company to others. The cost is very reasonable and the service is topnotch. I like being able to see my bill online and to pay online also. If I have questions that are not answered on their website then customer service is friendly, helpful, and done in a timely matter.
