Pros: Really great rate! Dependable service!

Cons: The caller id says "Call Center" -- friends may think your call is from a telemarketer.

Summary: If you are looking for a great long distance rate, TCI is a good choice. You have to dial a toll-free number first, then dial your long distance number. Just put TCI's toll free access number on your speed dial, and away you go. I moved to TCI after giving up on Vonage because of poor audio quality. At 4.9/minute, you can't beat the price, and the audio quality is excellent.

Pros: Excellent service, excellent price. Wish I had switched earlier.

Summary: I saw no difference in service or quality when I switched from MCI--except a much lower price tag! I don't use international service but can vouch for all other services. It appears to be the best deal available for Virginia residents.

Pros: good telephone quality, low rates, don't have to pay a monthly pre-determined premium.

Summary: I've tried making phone calls through my computer but sometimes the phone quality isn't very good. Also, problems with the computer program arise and there is no support time. This is much better.

Wish I'd Switched Sooner

Pros: No noticable change in service or quality other than dramatically cheaper bills. No hidden fees. Actual customer service reps during all hours of the day.

Cons: None so far.

Summary: Glad that I made the switch. Wish I'd done it sooner. I was referred by a friend who'd been using TCI for a couple of years and finally made the switch.

Pros: It was easy to sign up and I got the service when it was promised.

Cons: Still had trouble with company that Total Call was sharing their lines with. Was getting double billed by other company for awhile.

Summary: I was happy to sign up with Total Call for my long distance service. The other company in my area was awful.

Pros: Great rates.

Cons: seperate bill from regular phone bill

Summary: Enjoying the savings with the low rates offered, both in and out of state and no fee if you don't reach a minimum amount each month. There was no service interruption when switching from other long distance company. Great deal.

Pros: Good quality long distance at an unbeatable price.

Cons: I had problems making long distance calls for about a week during the transition.

Summary: A good deal all around. Be sure to keep on top of the transition from your old long distance provider to TCI Total World 4.9.

My service is as good as it was with Sprint.
Rates are great!

Pros: No mystery or minimum charges.

Cons: Sometimes my number isn't displayed on caller ID. Hasn't been a problem yet, but my folks can be fussy about answering the phone, so it could be.

Summary: Haven't made any International calls yet but the voice quality for domestic calls has been fine. I can't rate the customer service department because I haven't had any reason to call them. So you know that's a good thing.
