TCI International long distance service

Pros: It has only been 60 days, but the voice clarity is very good and I have had no problems or service interruptions despite having forgotten to pay the first month's bill on time.

Cons: No cons so far.

Summary: There has been no need for a service/assistance call, so I cannot evaluate that aspect. But I am fully satisfied after 60 days, and would recommend them if asked.

Pros: I can't think of an easier sign-up process. Making the switch from my previous provider was so simple. I take advantage of online billing, which also makes life more simple!

Cons: None

Summary: It's nice to know there are choices out there, that I am no longer forced to use my local carrier for my long distance service. I have no idea how you can provide rates that are so much cheaper, but I am greatful!

Pros: 1. State to state rate is outstanding.
2. Florida in- State rate is very reasonable.
3. Phone quality is excellant.
No monthly fee is the best.

Cons: I have not received a billing as yet. Do I have a credit for switching?

Summary: I am very satisfied with the Total Call plan (TCI 4.4 Global Saver Rural Plan, the easy sign up process, and the overall quality of service.
It beats my former MCI long distance carrier, especially cost-wise.

Summary: i have had no problems with my service nice people to talk to when you call to ask questions,they help you in any way they can.i have tol;d oyher people about this service. thank you so much for all the help on getting my long distance connected.

Summary: This is so transparent that you would never know that you had activated the service since there has never been a delay in making long distance calls whether morning, noon or night. The billing arrives via mail in a simple read out format.

Pros: The service is as advertised. I only pay for calls I make and the taxes and fees are reasonable. The connection service is good.

Cons: The service does not send a caller ID signal. I have one home that has these calls blocked and have to go through a system to get the call accepted,

Summary: TCI me provides good service at a reasonalbe price including taxes and fees. I have been pleased enough to sign up my mother for simialr service through phonedog.com

Global Saver Rural service plan

Pros: Don't charge you a monthly fee.
Simple to sign up.

Cons: Communication is poor. I have had them for 3 months now and have gotten no bill or even and acknowledgment that I am a customer.

Summary: There is no monthly fee so the Global Saver Rural service plan can save you money especially if you don't call much or use an online service to make long distance calls. However, their communication to their customers needs improvement.

Long Distance - Did you know?

Many people think using Calling Cards are less expensive than using regular long distance. How can this be? Don’t they have to pay for the usage of the same lines as everyone else? Sure they do, but calling card companies have become experts in marketing tactics!

Read the fine print of the calling card, they often charge for units, not minutes. A unit can be any measure of time they decide, plus they often have minimum call amounts and round up to the next unit. The bottom line is, they have done the math, and it’s going to cost most people more money than selecting a good long distance plan.
