e-wisdom.com Expert Review

REVIEW - Unitel offers this 2.5 state-to-state calling rate to numerous areas.  While the in-state rates are reasonable, this plan is suited for consumers who make mostly out-of-state calls.  Choose from regular mailed billing or have your credit card automatically deducted each month, which waives the minimum usage fee since your bill will be sent via email. Unitel also has an excellent customer service department.

BILLING NOTE - Unitel charges a $2.99 fee if your monthly usage is less than $20/month.  This fee only applies when registering for the PAY BY CHECK option and is waived by choosing paperless billing.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT - Your card will be charged approx. 10 days after you receive your billing notice via email.  Choosing the Charge My Credit Card option waives the minimum usage fee.

Long Distance - Did you know?

Many people think using Calling Cards are less expensive than using regular long distance. How can this be? Don’t they have to pay for the usage of the same lines as everyone else? Sure they do, but calling card companies have become experts in marketing tactics!

Read the fine print of the calling card, they often charge for units, not minutes. A unit can be any measure of time they decide, plus they often have minimum call amounts and round up to the next unit. The bottom line is, they have done the math, and it’s going to cost most people more money than selecting a good long distance plan.
